Re: Threat and Precautions
Just a note to update you on the area developments regarding threats to children.
A third threat to a child occurred in Grand Junction this afternoon (Monday). Law enforcement officials from several counties are involved.
In response to these threats, school officials are taking precautions and remaining on high alert. All doors are locked and visitors are identified before entering. These precautions will continue.
Safety on the bus routes and stops are of particular concern. Additional adults will be present at bus stops. Please notify the school or bus driver if you will not be available to pick up your child at a scheduled stop. If an unfamiliar adult is going to pick up your child at school or at a bus stop, please notify the school or driver of the change.
We will take precautions to ensure the safety of your children.
