Livestock exhibitors should be expected to follow the same rules and regulations as all other food producers. That includes knowing the food production rules and following them exactly.
Consumers expect a safe, high quality food product and it’s your job to produce that. All youth exhibiting swine, breeding beef, market beef, bucket bottle beef, sheep, market goats & dairy at the Webster County Fair must be certified in the FSQA program. (This will meet the qualifications for all youth exhibiting swine, sheep, dairy and beef at the Iowa State Fair).
Youth in grades 7 – 9 will have the option of attending an annual training to certify them for one year, or passing a test which will certify them until they reach the 10th grade.
Youth in grades 10 –12 will have the option of attending an annual training to certify them for one year, or passing a test which will certify them until they turn 20.
