It is the policy of the Prairie Valley School that there will be no discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity, race, national origin, creed, age, martial status, sexual orientation, or physical disability in its educational program, activities, or employment policies as required by Title VI and VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Title 1 of the 1965 Elementary and Secondary Education Act, Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments, and the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973. It is also the policy of this district that the K-12 curriculum will use instructional material that reflects the cultural and racial diversity present in the United States. A positive effort will be made to show students the achievements of and job opportunites for women, minority groups and all others who may have been ignored by reason of race, sex, gender identity, age, religion, physical disability, or ethnic background.
