Warrior Baseball Season Comes To An End
The Prairie Valley boys baseball season came to an end Saturday night as Clarion/Goldfield out-dueled the Warriors 4-0 in the first round of District play. PV never got untracked offensively as they managed just three hits off C/G pitching. C/G took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, added another run in the fifth and two in the sixth to score their 4 runs. PV only had two runners in scoring position through seven innings and never really mounted much of a threat. Spencer Johnson, Trey Kehoe, and Clayton Taylor had hits for the Warriors. Senior right-hander Nick Anderson suffered the loss for PV allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, striking out 3 and walking 1. The Warriors ended their season with a 3 – 22 record.
